Position
Description
 
The Senior Audit Director is responsible for providing specialized audit expertise and overseeing the planning, risk assessment, and execution of enterprise or division-wide audits. This leadership role involves managing teams, leading large-scale audit programs, and ensuring comprehensive risk coverage. Key responsibilities include:
 
  • Leading people management functions, including recruitment, performance evaluation, compensation decisions, and staff development.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert for complex audits across multiple business lines or functions.
  • Directing, planning, and executing efficient, risk-based audits.
  • Identifying and evaluating internal and external risks, and presenting actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Contributing to annual risk assessment processes, audit planning, and continuous monitoring programs.
  • Reviewing and finalizing audit reports, while ensuring alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Acting as a key contributor to projects, initiatives, and industry forums, representing the audit function at a high level.
  • Promoting collaboration, recognition, and professional development within the audit team.
Qualifications
 
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree.
  • 10+ years of relevant audit or financial services experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing complex audits and large teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to deliver training or represent the organization externally.
  • Some domestic travel required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
