Our Client	A global engineering and project delivery firm specializing in mining, energy, and infrastructure projects worldwide.
Location	Toronto
Position Description	The Network Design Engineer will join a project delivery team designing communications network infrastructure across mining, energy, and infrastructure projects. The role covers network architecture, topology, and cabling design from concept through detailed design and construction support, including structured cabling, LAN/WAN/WLAN/SD-WAN, fibre optic and wireless communications, and integration with CCTV, access control, and emergency communication systems. Responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and design reports, conducting design reviews, and supporting testing, commissioning, and vendor submission reviews.
Qualifications	Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related discipline 5+ years of experience in ICT engineering or ICT systems design Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, Ethernet, fibre optic systems, routing/switching, and cybersecurity principles Experience designing enterprise and infrastructure ICT systems, including wireless, CCTV, security, and server room infrastructure Design/engineering experience in heavy industries such as energy, infrastructure, or mining and metals
